Another quality leap that strengthens the image - Brescia Oggi

Already the label, which is very special, with a criss-cross of geometric designs freely drawn by hand, the name of the wine, Rosanoire, written in block letters in the bottom right-hand corner, and a name, Cristina Inganni, which starts with the final e and rises perpendicularly, makes it clear that this rosé has all the hallmarks of heterogeneity. One only has to inquire about the winery, which is called Cantrina, the name of the small hamlet in the rural village of Bedizzole, western offshoot of the morainic hills that surround the Brescian shore of Lake Garda, to immediately discover that making wine, for Cristina Inganni (the Cristina of the label mentioned above) and Diego Lavo, is nothing more than a “free exercise in style”.

«Free exercise in style», is how Cristina Inganni and Diego Lavo sum up their way of interpreting the craft of winemaking. They do this in Cantrina, a tiny hamlet in the municipality of Bedizzole, a western offshoot of the morainic hills surrounding the Brescia side of Lake Garda. From here the lake cannot be seen, but the effect on the climate is still felt, so much so that it is included in the territory protected by the regulations of the new Valtènesi DOC. But denomination aside, it is precisely that «free exercise in style» in interpretation that distinguishes the wines of Cantrina, which are born from the six hectares of vines cultivated with painstaking care by Diego Lavo (by the way, they are in the process of «converting» to organic).
