Cork or Screwcap? That is the question

posted on 11 February 2015
I would like to have your opinion on the use of the screw cap, we are considering using it on our other wines after the happy experience with the Rosanoire 2013 e 2014. Our considerations are these:
  • better product retention and freshness
  • practicality and cost-effectiveness for users of the “screw-unscrew” opening certainly greater than for traditional closures
  • low environmental impact, recyclability of the cork and saving cork oak forests that have been depleted in recent years by uncontrolled decortication
  • drastic reduction of sulphites added at bottling for the benefit of the integrity and respect of the wine and the health of consumers
  • end of all those annoying organoleptic alterations due in some way to corks
Your opinion on this is very much appreciated, as we would possibly intend to deploy it soon on the Valtènesi 2014 e Rinè 2014... Technically there would be no problem, indeed, but what do you think? Email us at info@cantrina.it.

Really nice evening, the one spent on 17 May at Alma (the International School of Italian Cuisine), starring Chef Riccardo Camanini (Lido 84) and his menu, partially performed, with the students of the upper school course.

Una visita inaspettata

Unexpected visit Cantrina
Sometimes strange cases occur when a small group of Mexican winegrowers, on holiday in Italy and therefore on Lake Garda, come to your winery for a short visit and this becomes an opportunity for a valuable cultural exchange.
