Cork or Screwcap? That is the question
posted on 11 February 2015I would like to have your opinion on the use of the screw cap, we are considering using it on our other wines after the happy experience with the Rosanoire 2013 e 2014.
Our considerations are these:
- better product retention and freshness
- practicality and cost-effectiveness for users of the “screw-unscrew” opening certainly greater than for traditional closures
- low environmental impact, recyclability of the cork and saving cork oak forests that have been depleted in recent years by uncontrolled decortication
- drastic reduction of sulphites added at bottling for the benefit of the integrity and respect of the wine and the health of consumers
- end of all those annoying organoleptic alterations due in some way to corks
