“Cantrina”, twenty years under the sign of growth - Brescia Oggi

The “Libero Esercizio di Stile” wine cellar is 20 years old: the motto, since 1999, has distinguished the wines of Cantrina, founded in the 1990s by the late restaurateur Dario Dattoli in the village of Bedizzole, and now led by Cristina Inganni assisted by wine-maker Diego Lavo.

Cantrina produces 35,000 bottles a year and cultivates six hectares of its own land plus two leased hectares. The company exports 30% of its production, but aims to grow further across the border. “That is why we participated in the Prowein trade fair in Düsseldorf, a fundamental opportunity to make ourselves known on foreign markets”.

For some time we have felt that something is still missing, especially in the overall management of the vineyard. In order to make a further “quality” leap, probing the organic route seemed to us an inevitable moment of professional growth,' explains owner Cristina Inganni, supported in the vineyard by Diego Lavo. This summer we started the three-year conversion period, so the certified harvest will be that of 2017. (...)
