Cantrina makes it three at the “Merlot d'Italia” - Brescia Oggi

Brescia Oggi dedicates an article to Azienda Agricola Cantrina after winning third prize at the Best Merlot of Italy exhibition, here are the highlights: Cantrina makes it three at the “Merlot d'Italia” show (...) Cantrina triumphs again in Aldeno and opens the door to the «autochthonous»: the winery from Bedizzole, managed by Cristina Inganni with her husband Diego Lavo, won for the third consecutive time the title of «best IGT label of previous vintages» at the Mostra dei Merlot d'Italia in Aldeno (Tn), an increasingly prestigious event dedicated exclusively to this prestigious grape variety. The award went to «Nepomuceno 2004», the flagship label of this small winery that for years has been distinguishing itself for a very special approach to the viticulture of the area, focused above all on the nuances and characteristics that the unique terroir of the Valtenesi can offer to the «repertoire» of great international wines. There are 173 Slow Wine 2027 Bottles, 15 fewer than last year. There are 44 wineries that have earned this recognition in the seventeenth edition. But what is a Bottle in Slow Wine? The Bottle is the symbol assigned to wineries whose wines presented for tasting have expressed excellent quality.

The Mediterranean flavours of Lower Garda

(...) Groppello, a red wine for fish and aperitifs. Cristina Inganni never imagined that she would become a winemaker while attending the Brera Academy in Milan, nor that she would come to live in Cantrina, a small hamlet in the municipality of Bedizzole whose profile dominates the vineyards. She did so to carry on the dream of her first husband, who died prematurely, who had planted the first vines (now nine hectares) of the Azienda Agricola Cantrina, inspired by French production and maintaining a radical idea of absolute quality. Cristina carries it on today together with Diego Lavo, her partner and second husband. Their Riviera del Garda Classico Groppello DOC (13 €) is a wine that enhances the terroir: gentle and sinuous, it is also appreciated with fish. In summer it becomes a cool aperitif.
