Spring is pressing on “full speed ahead”

posted on 20 April 2017
Spring is pressing on “full speed ahead”, and the vineyard is rushing right along with it… The vines budded out quite vigorously this year, and helped by the warm temperatures of recent weeks, vine growth is running some two weeks ahead of norm. As you can see, we have not yet mowed the grasses, since we want to preserve as long as possible the “naturalness” of the vineyard ecosystem, for two reasons in particular: the benefits from useful insects, and the fact that the high grass “delays” development of some fungal diseases. So, fewer passes with the tractor, less foot-stamping, biodiversity, respect for the environment.

At the winegrowers' market, one has the opportunity to get to know even the smallest and almost unknown wine producer...

On Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December, the third edition of the Independent Winegrowers' Market (FIVI) was held at the Piacenza Expo. The impression was that the number of producers present increased as did the number of visitors. For us, it is not so much important to participate in order to make a sale for its own sake, but to strengthen the spirit of belonging to the association.
