ProWein: the first day has passed

Between the desperate search for an internet connection and the curiosity of a completely new fair for us on the first day of ProWein passed. I avoided following the fashion of the moment, so no selfie, in the photo you can see the stand setting of Merum where we are placed. The first impression is that the audience is really made up of professionals. On #Prowein2014 you can follow the live Twitter feed.

Occupational hazards...

After not having hit us for years, or had only just touched us, the “lady” paid us a visit on the night of 24 June, abruptly interrupting a season that had so far been more than excellent. It took a few days to recover our energies and the desire to calmly analyse the extent of the damage, which for now seems limited to a loss of quantity, “only” a 30/40% of production.

Spring is in its prime and I like to give you a little glimpse of the vineyard at this season. As you can see from the photographs, the vines are already in full bloom and, something that we in the industry take somewhat for granted, I wonder how many people have ever noticed the rare beauty of the flowering vines and thus paused to admire them.

After Vinitaly

After a break of a few years, I returned to Vinitaly, at the Consorzio Valtènesi stand. I must say that I did this without a commercial approach, I made an investment in terms of public relations and networking. Practically my entire network of relations in the sector is there, so it was a good opportunity to catch up and strengthen the relationship.
