At the winegrowers' market, one has the opportunity to get to know even the smallest and almost unknown wine producer...

On Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December, the third edition of the Independent Winegrowers' Market (FIVI). The impression is that the number of producers present has increased, as has the number of visitors. For us, it is not so much important to participate in order to make a sale for its own sake, but to strengthen the spirit of belonging to the association. The spirit that animates us is mutual solidarity and unity of purpose in order to protect our rights as winegrowers with the “higher” institutions, without intermediaries or “puppets” who often have no knowledge of our problems in the sector! The Wine Market is a common moment for us producers to meet and compare notes, and for visitors it can be a great and valid alternative for getting to know and experience this world, thanks to direct contact with the producer, without intermediaries and in a much more informal way than other events in the sector. And why not? It can also be a valid alternative to the now prohibitively busy and chaotic Vinitaly!!!  

Cork or Screwcap? That is the question

I would like to solicit your opinion regarding use of screwcaps. As a consequence of the positive results with our Rosanoire 2013 and 2014, we are evaluating the possibility of using it on our other wines.

Class 64 in tasting

On Sunday evening (28/12/14) I attended the Bordeaux tasting, which has now become a classic end-of-year event that Angelo Peretti organises for just a few lucky friends at the Taverna Kus in San Zeno di Montagna. In my opinion it is the best way to celebrate the end of one year and the arrival of a new one. On stage this year are 12 wines from the 1964 vintage (they are fifty years old, you guessed it) and it is always very exciting to approach these wines and discover that fascination is often an emotion that knows no age...

Gorgeous, wonderful tasting organised by K&U, by Martin Kossler, Dunja Ulbricht and their team. They’re a modest-sized importer in Nuremburg, very special persons, all of them, and they simply exude that spirit, in their remarkably-warm hospitality and generosity, and in every perfect organizational detail of this event that runs for two days every year.
