The Bagoss, the Heretic and the Hamburger - Paperogiallo.net

Stefano Bonilli in his blog recounts a dinner at Villa Fiordaliso where he tasted Eretico: here are the most important points: (...) The other evening at dinner by the lake, a warm and pleasant evening, so much so that we were eating outside, some Bagoss and a bottle of Eretico from the Cantrina winery arrived on the table. It is a pinot noir raisin wine... ugh, a pinot noir raisin wine? But yes, a wine, pinot noir, which certainly doesn't have the image of a raisin wine and which makes a great impression because you expect it to be sweet, but instead... it has residual sugar, no doubt about it, but it is really a great wine-wine with a dark violet colour that will be even better as it matures. The company exports 30% of its production, but aims to grow further across the border. “That is why we participated in the Prowein trade fair in Düsseldorf, a fundamental opportunity to make ourselves known on foreign markets”.

For some time we have felt that something is still missing, especially in the overall management of the vineyard. In order to make a further “quality” leap, probing the organic route seemed to us an inevitable moment of professional growth,' explains owner Cristina Inganni, supported in the vineyard by Diego Lavo. This summer we started the three-year conversion period, so the certified harvest will be that of 2017. (...)

Zerdì 2010, Cantrina - Slowine

posted on 2 September 2014
(...) Cantrina's Zerdì 2010 is a pure Rebo, with an inviting nose of ripe fruit and black pepper. In the mouth it is full, powerful and round, thanks to a truly skilful use of wood. The spiciness and pleasantly bitter finish bonded wonderfully with meat ravioli, sprinkled with a pinch of nutmeg and plenty of Parmigiano Reggiano. (...)
