Cantrina's Valtènesi. Garda wine restarts - Eco di Bergamo

While claiming the originality of its «free exercise in style», which derives from the choices made at the time of its birth about a quarter of a century ago, Cantrina di Bedizzole also believed in the birth of Valtènesi before and now believes in this proposed change. It is not for nothing that the company's vineyard holdings have been expanded with a couple of hectares of Groppello to be dedicated to the production of Valtènesi Rosso. This is proof of the intentions of Cristina Inganni and Diego Lavo, a couple committed between vineyard and cellar to producing wines that respect their origins and are in harmony with the environment. From Cantrina, which is also the name of the hamlet of Bedizzole (reached by a short diversions from the highway leading from Brescia to Salò) that hosts the vineyards and cellar, the lake is not visible, but the effect on the climate can be felt: and how! From the organically cultivated vineyards (from the 2017 harvest, the wines will be able to avail themselves of the appropriate certification) come half a dozen labels of remarkable quality. This is especially evident in the wines from not particularly successful vintages, such as 2014. (...)
