IGT benaco bresciano bianco

GRAPE VARIETIES: Riesling, Chardonnay, Incrocio Manzoni. 

DESCRIPTION: Bright straw-yellow colour with greenesh reflections. Scents of white flowers, ripe apples and pears, with vanilla-like and mineral tones. Fresh, intense and persistent on the palate.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Even quite rich pasta or rice dishes, white meats with stuffing and roasted or grilled medium-fatty fish.

ORIGIN: From two vineyards owned by Cantrina, partly facing south and partly east (195 m above sea level) for a total of 1,5 hectares: partly planted in 1991 with a density of 5,000 vines per hectar and partly in 1998 (6.500 vines/ha); guyot training. Medium -deep, sub-alkaline soils.

YIELD PER HECTARE: 40 hl

HARVEST: In several stages, from the first ten days of September to mid-October.

VINIFICATION: The Riesling and Incrocio Manzoni are fermented and matured in stainless steel vats for 6 months. The Chardonnay is fermented in French oak barriques for about 5 months. Then the wines are aged in bottle for about one year.

ANALYTICAL DATA: Alcohol 13%, Total Ac. 5,85, Ph 3,20, Residual sugar 3 g/l.
